Aeroallergens Sensitivity (Blood IgE)
The Aeroallergen IgE Blood Test is designed to help you better understand your immune response to common environmental triggers. This blood test measures IgE antibodies related to a range of inhaled allergens, providing insight into potential sensitivities that may be contributing to ongoing symptoms.
Aeroallergens are common environmental triggers of conditions such as allergic rhinitis (hay fever) associated with conjunctivitis (itching and watery eyes), asthma and worsening eczema. They include house dust mites, cats, dogs, pollens and moulds.
This test can support more informed lifestyle and environment choices around allergies, including conversations with your clinician about allergy management.
Testing for aeroallergens is only useful if you suffer from any of the above symptoms. You do not need to currently have these symptoms to receive an accurate result. It is not helpful for other conditions such as hives, food intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome and in these situations can lead to misleading results.
